The Memphis TEA Party Approach to Precinct Leadership uses a 21st Century "Cloud Computing" Architecture
Traditional hierarchy results in delayed response to conditions, excessive communication over standard processes, limits effective leadership at the local level and creates a "baby bird" syndrome where those at the bottom of the pyramid are waiting for direction from the top of the hierarchy!
The network approach to the organization allows for localized autonomy, a "connect once - share many" approach to process and learning and provides for seamless integration of all activities throughout the network. Technology allows for discrete presentation of actions to the affected group or individual through the "cloud", that is the internet.
The Result is Efficient Organization, Communication and Action without the Latency in Traditional Organizational Models

Responsibilities of the Conservative Precinct Leader
The Memphis TEA Party is counting on the Conservative Precinct Captains program to perform the following activities:
- Identify and register all Conservatives in your precinctCanvas your precinct to identify all favorable votersRecruit and train volunteers
- Organize your precinct by blocks or zones
- Distribute literature and information about Conservative candidates, election procedures and election laws
- Organize your precinct by blocks or zones
- Conduct precinct meetings
- Get Conservative voters to the polls on Election Day
- Serve as the The Memphis TEA Party Conservative liaison in your neighborhood
- Remind the voters they are important
Your position as a Conservative Precinct Captain is an extremely important one. In many respects, you are the Memphis TEA Party within your precinct. You can play a pivotal role in selecting and electing Conservative candidates for a wide variety of offices, ranging from United States Congress to city council to the school board. You are the first and probably most important link in the chain which makes up our representative form of government.
As a Precinct Captain, you have made a commitment to make a difference. You will share the joy of victory and the agony of defeat. Most importantly, you will share the final sense of accomplishment that comes with helping to elect good public officials and with helping make government work effectively!
